Orono Middle School faculty and staff believe that participation in interscholastic athletics is an important aspect of the total school experience. The purpose of athletics is to promote the physical, mental, moral, social and emotional well being of the individual athlete. Participants in our athletic programs are expected to display the proper ideals of sportsmanship, ethical conduct, and fair play. We expect athletes to show and encourage respect to opposing teams, fellow players and coaches, and sport officials. Finally, we strive to encourage a winning spirit without losing sight of the above ideals.
